This is a printed copy of Georges Veysset's doctoral thesis on Huysmans and medicine, which was submitted to the faculty of medicine and pharmacy in Lyon on 4th February 1948. It was later published in book form by the Société d'Édition, Les Belles Lettres, though in fact the setting and pagination of the thesis and the book are identical and were most likely carried out at the same time in 1950.

This copy is signed to Jean Jacquinot, a prominent member of the Société Huysmans.
