An early work that provides quite a useful overview of the whole body of Huysmans' work. Though Blandin prefers the later, less controversial and more ostensibly Catholic work, he includes an interesting range of quotes from contemporary critics to make his points.
This example is one of 25 copies printed on Japon Impériel, and the finer quality paper certainly shows off the elegant typeface of the book, which was printed by the Société Typographique de Chateaudun.
